Today was the investiture for our Chinese Orchestra. Mainly for Mdm Peng, who's retiring and leaving us. She's one who cares like a Mother, love like a father, and jokes like a sister. And today, she came back for our investiture. We played Matsuri for her. Though it's a last minute decision, we played pretty well. Good job guys. Then Vilson played a song using his flute. Mdm Peng gave her last speech. Which I thought everything is damn touching and sad. Sad, I tried to hold back my tears but I can't. It's always sad to witness people leaving our side. Moved to the AVA room afterwards. Our investiture starts. The old commitee members start first. Have powerpoint slides and MTV. Then us. Mdm Peng looked touched too. She dont know about our plans in doing this for her. Afterall, we think that it's worth it. We might not be able to repay everything she gave for us, but our sincerity in wishing her all the best and happy retirement, is what we younger ones can do. So after everything, we have a small buffet. I, SokYee and RuXin went home early after that. Reached home at 7p.m. May Mdm Peng's retirement be a happy and relaxing one. All the best, Mdm Peng! |
